Short answer: October 2026
Walter Writes AI lists its plans in US dollars, so buyers in the UK, Canada, Australia, the Philippines, South Africa and elsewhere pay in USD and their card provider converts the charge. The yearly Starter plan is listed at USD 96, shown as USD 8 per month. Walter’s pricing page lists 80+ supported languages. No country-specific prices, taxes or restrictions were found on Walter’s official pages; your institution’s AI rules matter more than your country.

What currency does Walter Writes AI charge in?
US dollars. Walter’s pricing page lists every plan in USD, with yearly billing labelled “Save up to 43%”. If your card is in pounds, Canadian or Australian dollars, pesos or rand, your bank or card provider converts the charge at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. The amount on your statement can therefore differ slightly from the listed price. Check the total at checkout and your card’s terms before choosing a yearly plan.
Is the price different in the app?
It can be. Walter’s App Store listing shows in-app purchases, and Apple and Google set local-currency prices for in-app purchases in each country. Compare the in-app price with the web checkout before subscribing, and remember that an in-app subscription is cancelled through Apple or Google, as explained in the cancellation guide.
Does Walter Writes AI work in my language?
Walter’s pricing page lists “80+ Languages Supported”, but its humanizer page and help center give different counts, so test a short passage in your language before paying. Walter’s minimum input is 50 words. Check names, numbers and quotations in the output, because a rewrite can change them in any language.
Do universities outside the US treat AI tools differently?
Rules are set by each institution and course, not by country. Many universities in the UK, Canada, Australia and elsewhere use Turnitin, whose own AI Writing Report guide says its result should not be the sole basis for action against a student. Read your course’s AI policy and keep your drafts and sources. The student guide covers this in more detail.
